Believing no person is exempt from the sting of grief and loss, Rachel desires to encourage and help others as they discover both the great difficulty and great joy of healing, freedom, and self-awareness. Rachel believes the counseling process is most effective when viewed through a holistic lens. After serving as a registered nurse for several years, Rachel came to see the great need to integrate physical health with mental, emotional, and spiritual health as well. She believes that every person is meant to live an integrated life and that the different facets of our being all impact one another. Much of her counseling process with her clients includes examining the different facets of being human and addressing the needs a client has in each of these areas. Through her own professional and counseling journey, Rachel has come to know the fullness life truly has to offer when lived in integration, relational intimacy, and authenticity. Rachel believes that humans were created to live in authentic relationship with God, with others, and with themselves. She believes that it is the pain of our stories and the lies we believe about ourselves that keep us from living honestly. Rachel desires that her clients would come to know their true selves, accept their true selves, and live freely and unashamedly in the beauty and truth of who they were made to be. Rachel is a native Memphian and is proud to call the 901 home. She is married to her husband TJ and they are proud Midtowners! When she is not at work, you can find Rachel reading a good book and drinking coffee on her front porch, on a long run, or baking in the kitchen.
